COURSE OUTLINE: 60 HR MISSISSIPPI PRE-SALES COURSE
Course description:
The course covers Terminology, Theory, Concepts, and Practices within the field of real estate. This course introduces the student to the following areas: Real Estate Principles and Practices, Real Estate Law, Real Estate Finance, and. The course should prepare the candidate to deal with the everyday situations which they will face in making real estate decisions within the state mandated scope of practice. A broad foundation is the intent of this course. There are sections in this Outline dedicated specifically to Real Estate Principles and Practices, Property Ownership, Contracts, Real Estate Law, Real Estate Finance & Calculations, and Property Management. License law will be incorporated throughout the course as it relates to each topic.

All Real Estate Course components and support services are delivered in English. Learners should possess strong English writing, comprehension and speaking skills in order to be able to successfully complete the program(s).

Applicants must use their Full Legal Name, when applying as a Salesperson.

Applicants must have obtained a High school diploma or GED certificate.

Appliocant must be 18 years of Age
*The student is responsible for verification of qualifications for licensing, before registering for a course of study.

Registrants with any form of criminal history, including misdemeanor or felony convictions, or who are currently on parole, must contact the relevant licensing agency before registering for any pre-licensing or pre-certification course.

Notice of Program Component and Administrative Fee Changes
Changes to program component fees and administrative fees may be made annually and will be announced 1 month in advance
Should an Applicant choose not to register in advance, he/she should determine before
attending if any changes have been made in schedule.

An Applicant that cancels a program component up to 3 business days prior to the start date will receive a full refund less a $75 administrative fee.
Cancellations that are made less than (3) business days in advance are non-refundable.
Program components that are cancelled by the University of Real Estate & Professional Development will receive a full refund without any administrative fee.
Administration will Refund money in case of cancellation within 10 days after cancellation.
All Registered Applicasnts will be notified prior to date of seminar (via Certified Mail) if seminar has been cancelled unless Dangerous Weather prohibits timeliness notice or any Act of God.
COURSE SYLLABUS
COURSE INTRODUCTION:
This course is a Live Zoom and/or Traditional Classroom experience that could be subject to both, “live” online and physical in class students and/or participation. Students will complete 60 hours of real estate coursework approved by the Mississippi Real Estate Commission. Each class day will only consist of a max of 8 hours per day. A Real Estate Sales License in Mississippi requires the completion a 60 hour pre-licensing course.
Student Conduct
All learners are expected to act ethically, honestly and with integrity in all learning and professional matters while engaged in any learning activity. Learner dishonesty is behavior that erodes the basis of mutual trust on which exchanges within the learning environment and during learning activities commonly rest, undermines the Program Office's ability to evaluate a learner’s achievements, or restricts the Program’s ability to accomplish its learning objectives. The Real Estate Program Office takes a serious view of learner misconduct. Learners who are found responsible for offences associated with learner dishonesty, misrepresentation of personal performance, restrictions of equal opportunities for access to resources or damage to the integrity of exchanges within the learning environment will be penalized, and understands their subject to the removal of course for the safety of class instructor and remaining students as well as the nonrefundable fee of said course.
COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVE & SKILL:
This course’s mission is to assist in passing the Mississippi Real Estate Licensing The following skills with be achieved as a real estate professional candidate by implementing the following objectives but not limited to: Property Ownership, Land Use & Regulations, Real Estate Financing & Calculations, Agency Relationships, Contracts, Real Estate Practices & Procedures, Professional Code of Ethics, and Real Estate Law.. DESIGN TO take you through all the subjects mandated by the Mississippi Real Estate Commission. Upon completion of this course, you may sit for the licensing exam.

Attach URE&PD’s Course Completion Certificate to the application with a check for $120 made payable to MREC.

Send the completed application, certificate, and check to the Mississippi Real Estate Commission.

MREC will send a letter with a phone number and website where the exam can be scheduled.

The testing company will require a credit card to charge $75 for both exams. (General Portion and Mississippi State-Specific Portion.)

Find a Principal Broker following passing or prior to Submission of Initial Application to take State Required Exams.

Give the broker the MREC Broker information to complete.

Pass the exam 70% on the General Portion and 75% on the State Specific Portion.

Student must actively participate in all class activities and assignments.

Attendance is strictly enforced and student must complete 100% of class hours.

The quiz will consist of multiple-choice format questions requiring a minimum passing score of 70%

Quiz questions will be displayed one at a time.
o The final exam questions are also presented in multiple-choice format requiring a passing score of 70%
or higher.
Student will be allowed to retake each lesson or final exam within class duration until a passing score has been achieved, or until the course expires, whichever occurs first.
